The Singareni Coal Fields Railway opened 1888 and became the Nizam's Guaranteed State Railway 'NGSR Mineral Branch', a broad gauge(BG) line from Dornakal Junction to Singareni Coalfields, 16 miles(26km) ) [1]

This BG line provided connection for the Singareni Collieries Company Light Railway 2ft/610mm narrow gauge(NG) mines railway.
