Barajamda, Gua Iron Ore Mines Railway
Barajamda, Jharkhand is a mineral rich area surrounded by iron ore and Manganese ore mines. There are many mining operations in this area at the present time [1].
The records show that the 'Gua Iron Ore Mines', Barajamda, owned by 'Bird & Company' were in 1918 operating a broad gauge(BG) locomotive [2].
The extent of the track within the mine is unknown. Barajamda became connected to the railway network (probably the Bengal-Nagpur Railway who were developing BG lines in this region).
