Nandidrug, or the Nandi Hills, is the location of a hill fort in present day Karnataka. It is around 70km north of Bangalore.

The fort was thought impregnable until Cornwallis successfully took it in 1791 during the 3rd Mysore War.

Spelling variants

The area is subject to a wide variety of spellings. Examples include Nundydroog, Nundidroog, Nundidurg, Nundydurg, Nundidrug, Nandidrug and Nandydrug.
