Hi Valmay.  Your note of 23 January 2010 refers. Reading the guidelines you quoted  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Italics  I can see that in some instances I have forgotten to put a book title in italics and this was my error.
In  Madras Native Infantry# Historical Books Online my words were: The Company’s Native Army page 14 of Military reminiscences: extracted from a journal of nearly forty years' active service in the East Indies Volume 1 by Colonel James Welsh of the Madras Establishment 1830 Google Books
The  guidelines says ‘The titles of articles, chapters, ...and other short works are not italicized, but are enclosed in double quotation marks.’.  I can see I omitted to enclose the heading in double quotation marks.
You changed this to: The Company’s Native Army page 14 of Military reminiscences: extracted from a journal of nearly forty years' active service in the East Indies Volume 1 by Colonel James Welsh of the Madras Establishment 1830. Google Books
The only change I can see that you made was that you changed the heading to italics, (which differs from the Wikipedia Manual of Style). However you do not appear to have changed the actual wording.
In 2nd Polygar War my original wording was:The Poligar War in 1801 commences page 51 of Military reminiscences: extracted from a journal of nearly forty years' active service in the East Indies Volume 1 by Colonel James Welsh of the Madras Establishment 1830. Google Books
You noted this was incorrect formatting and changed this to Military reminiscences: extracted from a journal of nearly forty years' active service in the East Indies Volume 1 by Colonel James Welsh of the Madras Establishment 1830. The Poligar War in 1801 commences page 51 of this Google Book.
You also made similar changes in  2nd Maratha War# Historical Books on-line where I had a heading The First Mahrattah War from the same book.
I don’t understand why the wording in the link above in Madras Native Infantry was unchanged, but the latter two were. What was the difference?  Given I was linking to a heading why was this incorrect formatting, apart from the fact I omitted to enclose the heading in double quotation marks?
Some of the other changes you have made such as  Indigo Plantation  I  can’t work out what change you have made, so I don’t know what my error was. Regards Maureene 17:22, 24 January 2010 (PST)
