Nagpur Chhattisgarh Railway (NCR) was a metre gauge line that exsisted in 1888 and was owned by Great India Peninsular Railway. The Railway track from Nagpur to Rajnandgaon passed through Tumsar, Gondia, Dongargarh. In 1888 thhis railway track was purchased from Great India Peninsular Railway by Bengal Nagpur Railway, a company incorporated in 1887. and was convereted to Broad Gauge. Thus marked the beginnging of BNR. The Nagpur Chhattisgarh Railway was thus mearged into BNR.
