The Khyber Agency during the British period was one of five agencies amongst the North West Frontier Districts. It is now one of seven agencies which form the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) region of Pakistan. It includes the Khyber Pass, Ali Masjid and Landi Kotal. Torkham is the border crossing point for Afghanistan.
