• 1751 renamed the 10th Regiment of Dragoons
• 1783 became the 10th (Prince of Wales's Own) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons
• 1806 became the 10th (Prince of Wales's Own) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons (Hussars)
• 1861 became the 10th (The Prince of Wales's Own) Royal Hussars
• 1921 became the 10th Royal Hussars (Prince of Wales's Own)
• 1969 amalgamated with the 11th Hussars (Prince Albert's Own) to form The Royal Hussars (Prince of Wales's Own).

One Officer and 46 NCOs and men were drowned crossing the Cabul River and a further 38 men died of cholera on the way back to Rawal Pindi, when an outbreak set upon the Regiment in the Khyber Pass. There is some detail of the tragedy in the Cabul River and the cholera strike in A Short History. The image of the Memorial is also displayed above with all the names clearly visible.
