  • 1824 became 26th Regiment of Madras Native Infantry
  • 1885 became 26th Madras Infantry
  • 1903 became 86th Carnatic Infantry
  • 1922 became 10th/3rd Madras Regiment
  • 1926 disbanded
  • 19?? re-formed
  • 1947 allocated to India on Partition
