The Murtazapur-Yeotmal Railway opened in 1903 between Murtazapur (now called Murtajapur) and Yeotmal (now called Yavatmal).
The line owned by Central Provinces Railway Co Ltd(CPR)
The railway was extended from Murtazapur (now called Murtajapur) to Ellichpur (now called Achalpur) in 1913-14 becoming the Ellichpur-Murtazapur-Yeotmal Railway
