The origins of the Shivrajpur Light Railway have not been traced.
The Shivrajpur Light Railway was brought by the Guzerat Railway Company in 1917 and joined to the Champaner-Shivrajpur- Pani Light Railway to form a group of four lines.
The management of the Guzerat Railway Company lines was taken over by Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway(BB&CIR) in 1922
