Lloyd Dam Construction Railway
The Poona(Pune) District Public Works Department completed a dam on the Yelwani (Velvandi) River , 40 km south of Poona (Pune) in 1929. The vast reservoir created became known as Bhatgar (Bhatghar) Lake and Dam [1].
The records show that a light railway system, including track, tip wagons and locomotive, was in use during the construction [2].
