Madras-Tuticorin Mainline

The 'Madras-Tuticorin Mainline' is the name of the South India Railway metre gauge(MG) Mainline connecting Madras to Dhanushkodi with a branch to Tuticorin

The origin of this line goes back to the Great Southern of India Railway with the construction of a broad gauge(BG)
