History

  • 1st Battalion
    • 1900 raised as the 41st (Dogra) Bengal Infantry
    • 1901 became 41st Dogra Infantry
    • 1903 became 41st Dogras
    • 1922 amalgamated with the 37th and 38th Dogras to become the 3rd Battalion, 17th Dogra Regiment
    • 1947 allocated to India on Partition as The Dogra Regiment
  • 2nd Battalion
    • 1917 raised as the 2nd Battalion, 41st Dogras.
    • 1922 became the 10th Battalion, 17th Dogra Regiment
