The survivors of the [[Siege of Cawnpore]] were offered safe conduct to [[Allahabad]] and on 27 June they were conducted to boats waiting at Satichaura Ghat on the Ganges. As they embarked they were attacked and all the men and a considerable number of women and children were killed. | |||

Synopsis
