- 1881 amalgamated with 30th Foot and became 2nd Battalion The East Lancahire Regiment
- 1958 amalgamated with The South Lancashire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Volunteers) to form The Lancashire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Volunteers)
- 1958 amalgamated with Loyal Regiment (North Lancashire) to form Queen's Lancashire Regiment
