Summary
Under pressure from the British advance Dost Mohammed went north into the Hindu Kush and joined forces with the Wali of Khulum. Col William Dennie was sent in pursuit and met a combined force of Afghans and Usbeks at Bameean where Dost Mohammed was defeated.
