- 1862 renamed the 19th Hussars
- 1884 renamed the 19th (Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own) Hussars
- 1908 renamed the 19th (Queen Alexandra's Own Royal) Hussars
- 1921 retitled as the 19th Royal Hussars (Queen Alexandra's Own)
- 1922 amalgamated with the 15th (The King's) Hussars, to form the 15th/19th Hussars
- 1992 amalgamated with the 13th/18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary's Own) to form The Light Dragoons
