Hello Omer. Thanks for the wiki additions - really interesting. I am the FIBIS Research co-ordinator and I also help with the wiki. I have added a couple of categories to your image of the Abbotabad Cemetery. This helps groups images with similar subjects etc and gives them a higher profile. Hope you can follow this idea and it is Ok by you. [[User:Lee|Beverly]] | Hello Omer. Thanks for the wiki additions - really interesting. :Hallo dear [[User:Lee|Beverly]], thanks for your note! Youre v welcome indeed. Yes I appreciate the cross-referencing for various interested people/groups, of the OCC photo-- I think there are also some photos of individual graves here in the TSI (Sophia Institute Abbottabad) collection, a link to which is also given on the Abbottabad page, maybe this might also be of some use too? Hello Omer
I am very pleased to see contributions to the Fibiwiki from someone with local knowledge. I have written most of the pages on the Battles and Campaigns as well as many on Locations but acknowledge that often the information is pretty sparse. In particular we need help identifying places of interest during the British period which can be added to the maps attached to the Location articles. The page at http://wiki.fibis.org/index.php?title=FibiwikiProject_Locations explains the project but I see you have already made a significant addition to Abbotabad. The priority is to produce attached maps for each of the locations which were headquarters towns of the administrative districts. If you could give me the address of the places of interest you have added to Abbotabad, I can produce the map. Have a look at the Calcutta page (http://wiki.fibis.org/index.php?title=Calcutta) and its map (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msa=0&msid=211401480495186034184.0004b9536bac950652e90&ie=UTF8&t=m&z=14&vpsrc=1) to see a developed example. - Dear Sy, hallo! Im happy to be of help--have already responded to the above on your talk page--I guess that we are mostly concerned with the Old Cantonment of Abbottabad and to some extent, the old Civil Lines, and shall be soon sending relevant information about places here for the map/s. Regards, Omer OSKT 03:31, 2 December 2012 (PST)OSKT
- Of course, Calcutta was a v big place indeed and Abbotabad a v small town by comparison but it was still district and later divisional HQ for Hazara. OSKT 03:33, 2 December 2012 (PST)OSKT
