The connection of [[Broach]] to [[Jambusar]] to transport cotton from Jambusar to the [[Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway]]BB&CIR at  Broach was first considered by the [[Baroda]] Durbar as a 2ft 6in/762mm narrow gauge([[Rail_gauge#Narrow_Gauge|NG]]) branch of the [[Gaekwar's Baroda State Railway]] but the project was abandoned.

Broach-Jambusar Railway

The connection of Broach to Jambusar to transport cotton from Jambusar to the Bombay, Baroda and Central India RailwayBB&CIR at Broach was first considered by the Baroda Durbar as a 2ft 6in/762mm narrow gauge(NG) branch of the Gaekwar's Baroda State Railway but the project was abandoned.

The line was finally opened as a branch of the BB&CIR network in 1914-15
