The Great Western of India Railway Survey was under survey in 1889 by Horace Bell as Engineer in Chief. This is as recorded in 1890 and 1903.
The 1906 record only makes references to several Bengal and North-Western Railway projects. It is therefore concluded that this project did not proceed.
