West Indies
Information on migration between East and West Indies.
This post from the India List says ".. another side of my family tree goes back a long way in the West Indies. A lot of the names I see posted here [on the India List] also crop up in 18th century records from Jamaica and I wondered if anybody thought to look westwards when they hit a brick wall in India. Just off the top of my head, less common names I have seen in both contexts include Ricketts, Skinner, Scarlett and Hylton."
