General Sale's March from Kabul to Jalalabad
Summary
Following continued unrest around Kabul, the eastern Ghilzai tribes had blocked the passes on the route to India. Maj-Gen Sir Robert Sale was to march to winter quarters in Jalalabad clearing the opposition on the way.
