The Parlakimedi Light Railway (PLR) was a short 2ft 6in/762mm narrow gauge(NG) line, owned by the Raja of Parlakimedi; the Princely Parlakimedi State. It linked Parlakimedi to Nanpada, a length of 24 miles (39km), the line opened in 1900. The working of the railway was taken over by the Bengal-Nagpur Railway in 1902. [1]
