General Samuel Need. He was a Lt. Colonel in the East Indies with a detachment of the army at the seige of the following forts: Parsnal(?) Bridge Ghur, Kouchounella (?). He served under the personal command of Lord Lake during the whole of his Lordship's campaigns. During this period he was present at the following sieges and actions: 1805 - Jan 23rd - March 29th Bhurthoor. April 2nd - March (sic) 22nd Assul Ghur. During the last two campaigns he commanded a brigade of cavalry. Total period of Service, Twenty Six Years. Karachi
