The Coimbatore Volunteer Rifle Corps were a volunteer corps under the Madras command.

Chronology

1885 raised on 7th August (Madras GO 1032, 27th Dec 1878)^[1]
1892 incorporated into the Nilgiri Volunteer Rifles on 4th January^[1]
