The Tinnevelly Branch Line was a branch from the South Indian Railway(SIR) metre gauge (MG) 'Madras-Tuticorin Mainline'.
The line from Maniyachi to Tinnevelly, 18 miles(30km) opened in 1876 [1] where it connected to the 'Tinnevelly-Quilon Railway' worked by the SIR
