Talala-Visavadar Railway

The railway from Talala to Visavadar via Sasan Gir, 29½ miles(47km), constructed by the ‘Junagadh State Railway’ (JunSR), was a metre gauge(MG) railway. The 11 mile(18km) section from Talala to Sasan Gir opened in 1936. The entire line had been sanctioned in 1929[1].
The section from Sasangir to Visavadar , 18½ miles (29km), was through difficult country and delayed opening of the railway and the anticipated opening was October 1937[2].
