Summary

After possession of Malacca was confirmed in 1824, the British suffered attacks from the neighbouring state of Nanning. An expedition was mounted in 1831 which achieved little success. This was followed by a larger force in 1832 which eventually capture the capital Tabu. The Nanning chieftain finally surrendered in 1834.
