Tanjore District Board Railway

Formed 1900 by raising funds to construct feeder lines; worked by SIR(qv) See also the Mayavaram Mutupet Railway opened with a section of 31 miles (50km) in 1890 and completed in 1894.

The line was owned by Tanjore District Board and worked by the South Indian Railway(SIR)
