Fort Gloster Jute Mill Railway

The 'Fort Gloster Industries Ltd', a Jute Mill at Bauria, Howrah District was established by 'Macallister & Co' in 1873; it was taken over by 'Kettlewell, Bullen & Co' in 1879. In 1907 it was operating with 870 looms [1].

The records indicate that the mill was connected by a 3 mile(5km) south bound branch, of unknown gauge, to the East Indian Railway(EIR) between Bauria and Chengail stations [1].

No further information has been found.
