Tindharia

Tidharia developed for the purpose of a railway workshop for the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway

The construction work including rail track of Darjeeling Himalayan Railways started in May 1879 and completed from Siliguri to Tindharia in 1880. The Governor General of India, Mr. Lord Litton inaugurated the train running in March 1880 [1], [2].
