==Second World War==3/1st Punjab Regiment was part of the 5th Indian Infantry Brigade 23/9/39 - 3/1/42. The 5th Indian Infantry Brigade was raised at Jhansi on 23 September 1939 from 9th (Jhansi) Brigade.
