The 2nd Ajmer Regiment saw action in Burma. The 2nd Battalion served on Line of Communication duties in Assam with 202nd Line of Communications Area from January 1943 to March 1944 and with 36th Indian Infantry Brigade from the end June 1944 at Cox's Bazaar to November 1944, and subsequently in the Ukhia area and on Cheduba Island.<ref>
