The '''Ajmer Regiment''' was an Indian Army Regiment raised during the [[Second World War]] There are some references to it being an [[Indian States Forces]], or ISF, Regiment raised during the [[Second World War]]. IFS regiments which were raised by the [[Princely states|Princely States]]. However, this appears to be incorrect as Ajmer was administered directly by the British, and does not appear to be classified as a Princely State, it is not clear why the regiment is classified as an IFS regiment.

The 1st and 3rd Battalions served in India through out the War.  The 2nd Ajmer Regiment saw action in Burma.
