Changes

Originally raised as the [[The '''Eastern Bengal State Railway Volunteer Rifle Corps]] on the 1st March 1873. Amalgamated with the Battalion''' were an [[Northern Bengal State Railway Volunteer Rifle Corpsauxiliary regiment]] which was raised on under the 24th January 1879 and became Bengal command. They included staff of the [[Eastern Bengal Railway Volunteer Rifle Corps]] in 1882. Resumed original designation on the 21st November 1884 and then became the [[12th Eastern Northern Bengal State Railway Battalion]] on the 1st April 1917. Became the Eastern Bengal Railway Battalion on 1st October 1920.
