General Sir Edward Harris Greathed, KCB (1812-1881) was a British soldier who entered the army in 1833 as an ensign in the 8th Regiment of Foot. He arrived in India as a major and by the outbreak of the Indian Mutiny was a Lt-Colonel commanding the 3rd Infantry Brigade in the siege of Delhi.
