'''Field Marshal Sir George Pollock, 1st Baronet, GCB, GCSI, (1786-1872)''', was a British soldier who went to India in 1803 in the [[Bengal Artillery]]. He served under [[Gerard Lake]] in the [[2nd Maratha War]] and as senior artillery officer in the [[Gurkha War]]. He commanded the artillery with distinction in the [[1st Burma War]]. During the [[1st Afghan War]] commanded the Army of Retribution which fought its way back to [[Kabul]].
