His son [[William Arthur Brunton]] from 1857-70 was an Engineer with the [[Scinde Railway]], the [[Indus Valley State Railway|Indus Valley Railway]] and finally the [[Oudh and Rohilkhand Railway]] <ref name=Hughes/>.
