Branch railway The '''Kolar Gold Fields Railway''' opened in 1894. The line was a branch joining the [[Kolar Gold Fields ]] to [[Bowringpet]], where it connected with the [[Madras]]-Chikballapur Rly(qv), worked by MR 1908 becoming M&SMR(qv)[[Bangalore]] main line.
