The Masulipatam and Hyderabad Tramway/Light Railway proposal
There was a proposal in 1854-55 to provide a tramway or light railway between Masulipatam and Hyderabad. This would have been a route that would follow the current road number NH65. This is a distance of 115 miles (185km). The construction was not sanctioned.
It was under consideration at the same time as the Cuddalore and Salem Tramway/Light Railway proposal, which was not sanctioned.
