Both the tramways were NG [[John Fowler type & Company Ltd| 'John Fowler']] portable tramway lines and mainly on the level except at sand dunes where the gradient could be as high as 1 in 12 <ref name =darvill/>.
Nine miles(14km) of new track was obtained in 1929-31, there is no mention of either system after the 1935-36 annual report <ref name =darvill/>.
