'Further Information' added with internal links
The '''Tirupattur-Krishnagiri Railway''' was a 2ft 6in/762mm narrow gauge([[Rail_gauge#Narrow_Gauge|NG]]) line constructed by [[Madras Railway]](MR) as a famine protection line, it opened in 1905.
The MR merged with line connected [[Tirupattur]] to [[Krishnagiri]], a length of 25 miles(40km) and opened in 1905. "The line was the property of Government, on whose behalf it was worked by the former [[Southern Mahratta Madras Railway]](SMRMR) Company up to 31st December 1907.
