Villupuram-Trichinopoly Railway

The Villupuram-Trichinopoly Railway is referred to in the [India Office Records]] for the year 1923, see ‘Records’ below.

This railway was part of the South Indian Railway(SIR) network which had its headquarters and railway hub at Trichinopoly. Villupuram was also a major railway station.

This record requires examination – this survey could involve either the realignment of the existing line or a totally new line to cope with increasing traffic.
