- 1847 became 17th Irregular Cavalry
- 1861 became 7th Regiment of Bengal Cavalry
- 1900 became 7th Regiment of Bengal Lancers
- 1901 became 7th Bengal Lancers
- 1903 became 7th Lancers
- 1904 became 7th Hariana Lancers
- 1922 amalgamated with 6th King Edward's Own Cavalry to become 18th King Edward's Own Cavalry
