Bankibazar

Bankibazar was an ancient village in the District of the Twrenty-four Paganas, Bengal, on the Hoogly river, three miles from Barrackpore.

It formed the principal settlement in India of the Ostend Company, chartered by the Emperor of Austria in 1722
