R B Holmes & Co photography studio in Peshawar was owned by the British photographer Randolph Bezzant Holmes (1888-1973). Randolph inherited the business from his father William D. Holmes who established the business in the 1890'. The business continued until the 1940's and the R B Holmes business archive is held by the Macmillan Brown Library, University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
