The Dwara-Therria Light Railway opened in about 1902 to carry limestone. The 2ft 6in/762mm narrow gauge(NG) line was authorised to run from Dwara Bazar north-eastwards to Therria Ghat, a station on the Cherra-Companyganj Railway.
The main traffic was to be limestone. The promoter died in 1904 and the company building the line went into liquidation in 1909. On closure the locomotives and rolling stock were acquired by the Dehri-Rohtas Light Railway. [1]
