Harry Humpfress was trained at the Thomason Civil Engineering College at Roorkee. Joined the Public Works Department; 1884 May, Apprentice Engineer and posted to Central Provinces; Assistant Engineer, 1884 Nov; transferred to Baluchistan, 1887. [1].
