1 Apr 1871	This is first part of Tab 1871-72. Each office/unit is covered by a form ‘I’ "Detailed Statement of the Salaries and Establishment of……”, which is numbered consecutively. I forms total 162 and are indexed on first page of each year BUT with no abstracts of numbers and costs.

	Note these ‘I’ forms cover everyone from those in charge right down to the sweeper or Chowkidar, maybe at a rate of 1R p.m. Thus the establishment runs from C/S to Unc/S and a considerable body of workers below.
