(Peshawur Light Horse)
The Peshawar Light Horse, was raised on 3rd June 1857, and was formed of men from the 27th, 70th, and 87th Foot, mounted on horses taken away from the disarmed native cavalry. Captain F. Fane, 87th Foot, was commandant, and the strength was 2 officers, 4 sergeants and 84 men.[1]
